Eligible professions include public school teachers (science, math, special ed, Title I), school nurses, mental health workers and public defenders employed in MD. Must have a degree from a MD college or relevant certification and make under $75k (single) / $150k (married).
MD Loan Repayment (MLARP) for Health Professionals
Physicians, PAs, nurses, nursing assistants providing care in underserved areas of Maryland may receive up to $100,000 over a two-year service obligation if selected. Award amount is based on program priority.
Dent-Care LARP for Dental Professionals
Dentists can receive up to $50,000/year for 3 years of service treating ≥ 30% Maryland Medicaid (MMAP) patients. Dental Hygienists can get up to $10,000/year for 2 years.
Maryland Student Loan Debt Relief Tax Credit
Maryland taxpayers with ≥ $20,000 lifetime student loan debt and ≥ $5,000 outstanding balance may apply for a state income tax credit up to $5,000—one-time. Open July–September 2025.
