Scoring Formula
The AP French Language & Culture exam score is a combination of your multiple-choice and free-response performance. Each section is weighted equally at 50%.
- Multiple-Choice (65 questions): Your raw score is scaled to a maximum of 80 points.
- Free-Response (4 tasks): Your raw score (sum of your scores on each task) is scaled to a maximum of 80 points.
The total composite score is out of 160 points. We average the last three AP exam curves (2022–2024) to predict the 2025 scoring ranges.
