How to Calculate GPA from Percentage

To calculate your GPA, convert each course percentage to a 4.0 scale score, multiply that score by the course credit hours to get "Quality Points," and then divide the Total Quality Points by Total Credits.

GPA = (Σ [Grade Points × Credits]) ÷ Total Credits

Example: A 95% (4.0) in a 3-credit class = 12 points. An 85% (3.0) in a 2-credit class = 6 points.
(12 + 6) ÷ (3 + 2) = 18 ÷ 5 = 3.6 GPA.
