DBATU CGPA to Percentage Calculator
Clause 12 of DBATU's first rules and regulations gives both a formula and a table. The formula is Percentage of Marks = (CGPA − 0.5) × 10, and the table lists the equivalents from 6.00 CGPA (55.0%) up to 8.25 CGPA (77.5%) in steps of 0.25. The calculator uses the formula, so it gives the same numbers as the table at every step and works for any CGPA in between.
The same clause defines the classes: 8.25 and above is First Class with Distinction and below 6.50 is Second Class. The First Class line is printed as "6.50 and above but below 8.00", which leaves 8.00–8.24 unassigned in the text; the calculator labels that range First Class and flags the wording. Note also that DBATU's final degree certificate does not mention any class — it appears only on the grade report.

Because DBATU grades are relative, the same marks can lead to different grades in different classes, but once the CGPA is on your grade report the conversion to a percentage is fixed.

Solving Percentage of marks = (CGPA − 0.5) × 10 (clause 12) for the CGPA gives 6.5000. A CGPA of at least 6.50 reaches 60%.
The official DBATU CGPA to percentage rule
Rules from the DBATU First Rules and Regulations (B.Tech), R1 clauses 3–4 and 12, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere:
- Grades are relative: the teacher sets bands between the class average (AM), the highest mark (HM) and the 40% pass mark (clause 3.6). EX goes to the highest scorer only if that score is 80% or more.
- SGPA = Σ ci·gi / Σ ci over the semester; CGPA = the same weighted average over every subject since admission; both rounded to two decimals (clause 4).
- While an FF or I grade is pending, SGPA and CGPA are computed tentatively with 0 for it and recomputed once it is replaced (clause 4 d).
- The degree certificate carries no class; the class appears only in the grade reports.

Worked example
For a CGPA of 8.25: (8.25 − 0.5) × 10 = 77.50%.
Going the other way, a target of 60% needs a CGPA of 6.5000, so you need at least 6.50 on your grade sheet.
