College Graduation Date Calculator
How soon you finish college depends on three numbers: the credits your degree needs, the credits you already have, and how many you take each term. Enter them along with your calendar (semesters or quarters), any summer credits and your next term. The calculator lists every term until you reach the total and shows your expected graduation term.
Most US bachelor’s degrees need about 120 semester credits (often 180 quarter credits), which is 15 credits a term for 8 semesters. Federal aid usually defines full-time undergraduate enrollment as 12 or more credits, but 12 credits a term takes five years to reach 120. Count transfer, AP, IB and dual-enrollment credits in “credits completed” only if your college has accepted them toward your degree.
Default example: 45 of 120 credits done, 15 credits a term from Spring 2027 with no summer classes, gives five more terms, finishing in Spring 2029. Adding 6 summer credits a year, or one extra class a term, usually pulls graduation in by a term. The calculator counts credits only. Make sure the remaining credits also cover your major and general-education requirements, because unused electives do not shorten a degree.
