Kurukshetra University SGPA/CGPA Calculator
Kurukshetra University's NEP-2020 undergraduate ordinance (Scheme-B, single major) uses a ten-point scale in which O (Outstanding, 10) needs more than 85 marks, A+ (9) more than 75, A (8) more than 65, B+ (7) more than 55, B (6) more than 50 and C (5) more than 40. A score of exactly 40 is P (Pass, 4), and below 40 is F. You must reach 40% both in the aggregate and in the end-term examination on its own.
The SGPA is the ratio of credit points to credits in the semester, and the CGPA is total credit points over total credits for all courses of the programme, both to two decimals. Clause 10.5 sets a floor that matters for exit options: the SGPA must be at least 4.00 to qualify a semester, and the CGPA must be at least 4.00 for the UG certificate, diploma or degree.

How KUK calculates SGPA and CGPA
Rules from the Kurukshetra University Ordinance (Single Major) Scheme-B, UG programmes under NEP-2020 (LOCF-CBCS):
- Grades are awarded on absolute marks (clause 10.10). A course needs 40% in aggregate and 40% in the end-term examination separately.
- SGPA = Σ(credits × grade points) / Σ credits for the semester; CGPA = total credit points of all courses of the programme / total credits (clauses 2.9, 10.11), expressed to two decimals.
- The minimum SGPA to qualify a semester is 4.00 and the minimum CGPA for the certificate, diploma or degree is 4.00 (clause 10.5).
- The multiplication factor to convert SGPA or CGPA to percentage is 10; UIET, Kurukshetra University issues the same rule (Percentage = CGPA × 10) for its courses.

Worked example
The SGPA example loaded above has 6 courses (4 credits at A, 4 credits at A+, 4 credits at B+ and so on) worth 18 credits and 144 credit points, so the SGPA is 144 ÷ 18 = 8.00.
For the CGPA, the example semesters (8 on 18 credits; 7.72 on 22 credits; 8.35 on 22 credits) give Σ(SGPA × credits) = 497.54 over 62 credits, so the CGPA is 8.02, which is 80.20% under Equivalent percentage = SGPA/CGPA × 10.
